Memorare

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided.

Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.

O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

On Saturday October 27th, our Council elected and appointed Officers are being formally installed in a ceremony following Saturday’s 4:00 Mass.  Any brother Knight and family wishing to stay after Mass, or come after to observe is invited and welcome.  It will end approx. at 6:00.

This is one of the few Knight's ceremonials that are open to family members.

We are participating in the church's October Respect Life campaign by both prayer and action.  Our Pope has asked all Catholics to pray The Rosary, pray the Memorare and the prayer to St. Michael Archangel daily during the month of October for the crisis in our church which includes the fight against the culture of death.

We Knights are "called to arms" in this battle for souls.

Join us for the 2018 Catholics in the Public Square event! Claire Dwyer will be emceeing this fantastic event with Ryan T. Anderson as the keynote! Ryan is the leading young Catholic voice in the American public square and has made appearances on ABC, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, and Fox News. He writes about marriage, bioethics, religious liberty, and political philosophy, and his research has been cited in two Supreme Court cases.
The day begins with Mass celebrated by Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted, FREE breakfast, and additional addresses from Alan Sears, Ron Johnson, and Bishop Eduardo Nevares. This is a day you won't want to miss! Seats are filling up fast, so registration is encouraged.

PWID Tootsie Roll Drive Highly Successful

On September 29 & 30 our Council embarked on its first public fundraising drive, and the Fry's Marketplace on Hunt Highway in San Tan Valley.  Brother Knights were outy both days, offering free Tootsie Rolls to passing shoppers.  We accepted free-will donations, or no donations, as often happens.

It was also a great opportunity to make our Council's presence known within the community.

In all, we took in donations amounting to $1,243.75.

We will be doing an additional drive at Church, and at one of the Church events.

All of the money, after expenses, goes to Special Olympics and to area organizations that support people with intellectual disabilities.
